What should I make sure I have done before the day of the conference(s)?
Ensure you have registered for the conference(s) of your choosing. Also, be sure to look over and familiarize yourself with the agenda for the day (agendas are linked on each conference’s page). This will help your day flow smoothly.

Do I preregister for the sessions I wish to attend?
No, you do not register in advance for the sessions.  Sessions are filled the day of the conference at a first-come, first-served basis.

Where should I park for the conferences?
Parking for the Raleigh conference is free in front of the McKimmon Center.

Parking for Durham is available across from the Durham Convention Center at the Durham Centre Deck located at 300 Morgan Street. Caregivers attending the Durham conference will be issued a voucher to cover their parking fee. Please note there is a short walk from the garage to the Convention Center. Drop off in front of the Convention Center is permitted; however, there is no parking in front of the Convention Center.

Parking for the Chapel Hill conference is free. Be sure to park in the “visitors” lot.

Parking for the Lillington Conference is free in front of and behind Leon Levine Hall.

Are CEUs available?
Yes, up to 4 CEUs are available. This educational activity is co-provided by Transitions LifeCare  and the Triangle Chapter of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Transitions LifeCare is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurse’s Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Those seeking CEUs should register as a “professional.” Certificates will be distributed at the END of each conference.

Will meals be served at the conferences?
Lunch will be served at all conferences; however, breakfast will not be provided so you may want to plan to eat before arriving. Coffee will be available all morning.

What is the temperature like inside the conference center(s)?
As the air conditioning may be working hard during the conferences, it is advisable to bring a light sweater with you.

What if I would like to take notes?
While note taking space is provided in your program, you may wish to bring extra paper with you if you would like to take additional notes.

Are pets allowed at the conference(s)?
Only registered service animals are allowed in the conference centers.

I am a caregiver and am worried about leaving my loved one for the day without care.
We provide free offsite adult respite care for loved ones of caregivers attending the Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill Caregivers Summits. Please ensure you call the care center of your choosing directly to coordinate care for the day. Refer to the “registration” page for your Summit for contact information.
