What should I do to prepare for the conference(s)?
Ensure you have registered for the conference(s) of your choosing. Pre-registration is STRONGLY encouraged as we cannot guarantee we’ll be able to accommodate walk-ins on conference day. Also, be sure to look over and familiarize yourself with the agenda for the day (agendas are linked on each conference’s page). This will help your day flow smoothly.
Do I preregister for the sessions I wish to attend?
No, you do not register in advance for the sessions. Sessions are filled the day of the conference at a first-come, first-served basis.
Where should I park for the conferences?
Parking for the Raleigh conference is free in front of the McKimmon Center.
Parking for the RTP conference is free at the Sheraton Imperial.
Parking for the Chapel Hill conference is free. Be sure to park in the “visitors” lot.
Parking for the Lillington Conference is free in front of and behind Leon Levine Hall.
Are CNEs available?
Yes, up to 4 CNEs are available. This educational activity is co-provided by Transitions LifeCare and the Triangle Chapter of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Transitions LifeCare is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurse’s Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Those seeking CNEs should register as a “professional.” Certificates will be distributed at the END of each conference.
Will meals be served at the conferences?
Lunch will be served at all conferences; however, breakfast will not be provided so you may want to plan to eat before arriving. Coffee will be available all morning.
What is the temperature like inside the conference center(s)?
As the air conditioning may be working hard during the conferences, it is advisable to bring a light sweater with you.
What if I would like to take notes?
While note taking space is provided in your program, you may wish to bring extra paper with you if you would like to take additional notes.
Are pets allowed at the conference(s)?
Only registered service animals are allowed in the conference centers.
